The Story Behind Khaos
Khaos Inc. was founded in 2023 by two people who live at the intersection of storytelling and technology — a software engineer with roots in animation, and a product leader with deep systems expertise.
The idea was simple: screenwriters, filmmakers, and animators deserve tools as sophisticated as the stories they tell. Professional script analysis, character mapping, narrative structure — these shouldn't require expensive consultants or weeks of manual work.

What began as a personal tool for screenplay analysis has evolved into Khaos Machine — a complete desktop platform that combines AI-powered analysis, workflow automation, and interactive visualization into one cohesive experience.

Khalid Mills
Khalid is a software engineer and creative technologist based in New York City whose career has always lived at the intersection of creative media and engineering. From graphic design and motion graphics to Flash-era interactive development at agencies like R/GA, Ogilvy, and Tribal DDB, he was building creative tools before the job title existed.
That path led through early iOS development, co-founding startups like Claim It! and Surv (featured in Mashable), prototyping next-gen experiences at SiriusXM, and engineering iPhone product operations at Apple — working with ML, automation, and robotics on the Factory of the Future.
As Khaos Machine's "customer zero," Khalid builds the tools he needs as a creator — leading engineering across the full stack: the AI analysis engine, workflow automation, desktop apps, terminal interfaces, and the open screenplay format that ties it all together.
Andrew Gatto
Andrew is a product and systems designer based in New York City with a track record of shipping consumer products used by millions. At Warner Bros. Discovery he led product design for Food Network Kitchen, HGTV, and Food.com — earning Webby Awards along the way. Before that, he designed connected-home and voice experiences at SiriusXM across Apple TV, Alexa, CarPlay, and Sonos.
At Khaos, Andrew leads product strategy and experience design — translating powerful analysis capabilities into intuitive tools that feel natural to writers, directors, and producers. He brings the same rigor to storytelling intelligence that he brought to consumer media: deep user empathy, systems thinking, and an obsession with getting the details right.
Andrew is also a dedicated design mentor through Designlab and ADPList, and is currently studying Graphic & Digital Design at Parsons School of Design.
